Our world is made up of a wide range of very diverse cultures. As the founder of Culturally Curious Literacy Initiative, Aminata Traoré has made it her mission to learn more and show appreciation for these cultures through literacy. Culturally Curious Literacy Initiative is a social enterprise devoted to improving the quality of literacy atc teaching about those various cultures. The purpose of the initiative is to encourage respect and help bridge the gap between cultures through literature.

 

Traore's books encourage you to sink into beautifully intricate cultures. All of her writings promote a cultural inclusion theme that seeks to celebrate the uniqueness of culture from places as diverse as America, the Middle East and Africa. Collaboratively, Traore’ hopes that all of the stakeholders will eventually unite to promote cultural inclusion through literature, reading, and programming.
